Fireworks, Family and Fun

Our Fourth of July was spent in Boise, Idaho with my mom and John. I love Boise. I love that things grow there. I love that it isn't four million degrees outside in the middle of July so when I get out of the car at Walmart my skin doesn't feel like it is melting off my bones and my eyes don't feel like they are going pop out of my skull. I love Saturday morning at Farmer's Market in downtown Boise with all the fresh flowers and vegetables. I love that I can drive down the road and see a horse, or a cow, or smell fresh cut alfalfa. They have birds of all varieties there - there are actually other birds besides pigeons and sparrows. I love that I can go fishing in the morning at a picturesque location and be home by mid-day to cook up the catch. I love it there. My niece, Gracie came from Rexburg, Idaho where she attends college at BYU Idaho. We had fun laughing. That's pretty much what we do. She is such a great kid. She taught me everything I know about make-up.
My mom's tree in her backyard had this cute little nest of baby Robins. I couldn't resist the temptation to capture a few shots. The above picture was taken the day I arrived and the picture below was taken three days later right before I left. I couldn't believe how much they had grown. It was fun watching the mother and father Robins pull worms up from the grass and gather mouthfuls of insects to take back to the nest.

We went to a fireworks display at a local baseball stadium on Friday night and it was a great show. One of the best I've ever seen. We really had a great time but the visit was too short. We
are headed back up there on July 24th for five days. I can't wait. Did I say I love it there?

We will miss you Jac

This is Jac. He has been a part of our family for twelve and a half years, but Wednesday we had to say good-bye to him. He suddenly got sick, and it was time for him to go to sleep. Hopefully he is someplace where he will spend eternity doing what he loved best, which was chasing rabbits. We will miss you Jac, we love you.
