When I was a little girl I wanted to have a grandma. Both my grandmas died when they were young so I never experienced the love of a grandma. Grandmas have evolved over the years from the traditional "apron wearing, cookie making" icon we held so dear. These days grandmas can be anything from the traditional grandma to the "modern hip athletic career" grandma.
I am a grandma, but the idea of being a grandma is very surreal to me. I always thought of grandmas as looking like the lady below. I don't think I'm quite there yet.
But since I am in school I am also not in a position to be the "apron wearing, cookie making" grandma. I'm more the studying, test taking, paper writing grandma. For awhile yet anyway.
I'm also not the "fit, muscle building, kick-butt" kind of grandma. That would be cool though. Maybe that will be my next challenge.
And I KNOW I am not the "hip, tatttoo, body piercing grandma. Much to my daughter-in-laws relief. :0)
But I AM the grandma who adores these sweet little girls. I want not only to make cookies with them, but to make memories that will last forever. I hope I can be everything to them that I was only able to dream about.

I thought this was a great entry. it is weird for me to think of you as a grandma, you are not like my grandma "Sigh" Howard--you are most likely the fun,creative,do-really-fun-interestingly meaningful type of grandma. if you haven't guessed, its me Mark. see you in class.
